The Wounded Healer: Through the Fire and Into the Light
A story of loss, breaking, and becoming, where a woman is dismantled by life, and rebuilt
through fire into wholeness.
A Story That Will Find You
There is a kind of survival that looks like success from the outside.
Degrees on the wall.
Lives saved.
A life that checks every box.
And a woman inside it all, who has forgotten what
it feels like to belong to herself.
The Wounded Healer: Through the Fire and Into the Light
is the first book in a two-part series.
Dr. Heather’s story takes you through a life shaped by trauma, loss, and the lived experiences
that led to a breaking point and to the moment everything began to unravel.
It is an unfiltered account of what it means to barely survive for so long…
and what it costs to keep going without truly living.
This is the story before the healing.
The Journey Inside
Within these pages, you will move through:
• A life shaped by early trauma and mere survival
• The pressure of holding it all together on the outside
• The unravelling that follows profound loss
• Spiritual awakening and inner reckoning
• The absolute grief that reshapes identity
• The quiet disconnection beneath unacknowledged achievement
• The beautiful and emotionally raw moment when everything cracks open and rises to the surface
She survived everything that was supposed to break her—and came out the other side on fire.
A Note on the Work
At its core, this book is about one truth:
You do not heal by becoming someone new. You heal by remembering who you were before the world told you otherwise.
This Is A Powerful Read for You If…
You feel the call to return to yourself
You have experienced deep loss, grief, or identity disruption
You have spent years holding it all together on the outside;
while second-guessing, surrendering, and giving up on the inside
You are drawn to both science-based and soul-based healing
You are ready to stop surviving and start becoming

About the Author
Dr. Heather is a nurse, author, Priestess, and Wounded Healer who has walked the path she now so openly writes about.
After beginning her nursing career at Johns Hopkins Hospital and spending nearly two decades in clinical nursing, the death of her mother in 2018 shifted her life in ways she could not ignore.
What followed was eight years of intentional healing.
Her journey took her across the world from Ireland, Maui, to Greece, and deep into the inner landscapes of trauma, grief, and transformation. Along the way, she trained in somatic-informed healing, past life regression, and nervous system work, weaving clinical expertise with soul-level care.
Today, her work lives at the intersection of science and the sacred.
Her clients don’t just feel better, they become different women.
